Retro Show 2016 Report
The Retro Show 2016 was a great success with a plethora of vintage vehicles on display both on and off the track. The rain and hail bought play to a close early on the Saturday but this was not the case on Sunday with the glorious sun shine beating down on the complete show for all things retro!
The Show & Shine paddock was full to the rafters with pristine show cars from a bygone era! As always the judges’ decisions were made very difficult due to the high quality vehicles on display.
The track was busy all weekend with a whole host of retro vehicles including drag demos from the Wild Bunch and of course the highlight of the day goes to Mr Martin Hill who hit an incredible 300MPH in his FireForce Jet Dragster.
Triumfest was a new addition to the show and was well supported by the Triumph Sports Six Club with over 200 cars in there Show & Shine area alone!
The Cool Flo BMX team were pulling out all the stops to keep the crowds entertained with their flawless stunt displays. The Jinx Brothers were keeping the stage rocking providing the perfect sound track to your day.
The Retro Drift Challenge was a huge success with the drivers going bumper to bumper to gain those vital points that will eventually see one of them crowned the champion. The Autotest was a huge success with everyone wanting to have a go on the same course as the RDC, Autotest regular Chris Whight was the eventual winner. We would like to thank everyone that attended and from all the Santa Pod team we hope you had a fantastic day. See you next year!
